Aisling has worked in location/studio and post sound for television and radio for several years. This has involved voice recording and program editing and mixing for broadcast television, radio commercial production, short form radio program production, audio book/ e-learning recording and editing. She has lectured in the physics/theory of sound, analogue/digital audio, mixing desks and recording signal flow, including preparation for Fetac Level 5 Sound Engineering & Production, and has delivered interactive classes in Music Theory in preparation for Fetac Level 5 Music Award, and London School of Music Popular Theory grade exams. Aisling’s work includes dubbing for TG4 of international documentary series and voice reversionning as Gaeilge of international cartoon series including ‘Southpark’, V/O on episodes of “Mobs Mhericea”(IFTA Award-winning documentary series for TG4), and Location Sound on Feature Documentaries: Schtax: A Homecoming Identities (Winner of Best Documentary GAZE 2009) Working on Protools and Final Cut Pro Platforms, Aisling is responsible for the creation of the audio-visual content for SMARTlab projects. This includes documenting the activities of SMARTlab and the research work undertaken by PhD candidates. Aisling holds a BA in Film/TV from the National Film School, D.L.I.A.D.T. and an MPhil in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity College Dublin.
